About me

I am a software engineering consultant at Prominent, and I live and breathe technology. Therefore, I’m always looking for ways that technology solutions can save time and money for myself and others.

My love for technology is apparent through my education and experience. I have a master’s degree in software engineering from North Dakota State University (Go Bison!) and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Mary in business management, which covered business, computer science and general engineering curriculum. Beyond my education, I have 13 years of experience working in the technology sector and have been developing solutions at Prominent since March of 2018.

My expertise lies in software engineering and applying general engineering principles to software development. Additionally, I am proficient in business process reengineering, 3D printing and fixing/maintaining undocumented applications.

My hobbies include being a dad, 3D printing and design, tinkering with the Internet of Things (IoT) hardware and software, watching movies, gaming, and trying to be like MacGyver.

Fun Fact

My dad is an electrical and computer engineer, and my parents owned a movie theater when I was growing up. Being raised in an environment of business and technology gave me a great opportunity to learn a combination of important skills as a kid!

Since my parents owned their own movie theater, it’s only fair for me to mention my favorite movie—A Christmas Story. If you’ve seen it, you’ll remember the famous quote, “You’ll shoot your eye out, kid!”
